Jane Jarecki: Jane is a Kripalu Certified yoga instructor who has been teaching yoga in the Burlington area since 2006. Jane’s approach centers on a yoga for awareness, happiness, and health, and on yoga as a healing modality, for any person, in any stage of life. Jane uses creative sequencing to expand students' curiosity and down to earth teachings to make traditional yoga accessible, guiding each student to self-acceptance, openness, and joy. Through relaxation in moderately paced, strengthening asana flows, through focus on pranayama (breath), music, and meditation, students are encouraged to follow their prana (life force), and move intuitively with grace and fun. "I want to offer not only vinyasa, but a way to be in the world and in the self, to awaken inquiry that can keep us interested in our lives and the lives of others.” Jane considers herself a window to transmit yoga between students and themselves and a beacon of light in the dark. Jane (called Jyoti by her teachers, the sanskrit word for Light), reflects the inner fire and light in others. She recognizes we are much more than meets the eye and what we need is love. |

Emily Garrett: I continue to be amazed at yoga's ability to heal physically, mentally, and emotionally. Yoga has helped me work through injury and depression with grace and curiosity. Jill Satterfield, who teaches Vajra Yoga, has taught me how to breathe awareness into the most hardened and painful parts of myself. Arlene Griffin taught me the disciplined practice of directing my mind intentionally through Tantra Yoga. Ana Forrest taught me to source tremendous strength from inside. Jon Fabbro and Karme Choling introduced me to the path of Tibetan Buddhist meditation which is a strong influence in my life. I am happier than I have ever been and than I ever thought that I could be. I continue to travel this planet, teaching workshops nationally and internationally. Whether I am traveling in India, surfing in Costa Rica or cooking at home in Vermont with my husband, my yoga practice is by my side. |

Rebecca Boedges recently relocated from Boulder, Colorado where she attended Naropa University for Dance Movement Therapy. Dance has always been a part of her life and she appreciates the healing that movement can bring to all. She believes that movement heals and encourages health of the body, mind, and spirit. Flexibility in movement can translate to flexibility in mind and spirit.
Seven years ago, Rebecca walked into a Nia class for the first time, immediately hooked, she began practicing regularly. In Nia, she found a home in her body, a joy for the class which kept her coming back again and again. Knowing that she would be moving to Burlington, VT where the Nia community is still developing, Rebecca after many years of being a student attended a week long intensive training to become a certified White Belt Nia instructor. |
